Thanks, I enjoyed that, though Howe's eager-beaver manner is faintly embarrassing. I love what Bishop says about Stevens: "His work seems to produce, even in the finest critics, the most terrible gobbledygook". And that anecdote about Marianne Moore and the Mayor of New York - just delightful.
