listless

I'm bored.

I'm bored of my books, I'm bored with this blog, with all blogs, with writing, with reading.

There was a terrible play last night that is just waiting to be ripped into. There was that wasted day at the mall while we waited to watch Horton, and when we went in the theatre smelled of pee (did someone take their ickle precious to a horror film, then?).

And when all's done, there's always the rich seam of newspaper hilarity to be mined.

But none of it moves me.

I guess I'll see ya'll when I see y'all.

(One of these days I will learn to leave unannounced.)

Oye SpaceBar. Boredom is first sign of self pity. Not allowed. Take a trip- come to Kolkata:)
Sorry, but I had to delete all comments from non Mothers-to-be on my last post: it was part of a treasure hunt for an on-line baby shower for nine preggy ladies. By the by, my clue led to Yashodhara of Yonearthnot.

Please don't disappear, Spacy: I promise I'll be good (Looking suitably woebegone).

What play was this? The 'Raat phoolon ki' wala?

Feel your pain, sb. This was probably triggered by Horton?

Hang in there. Pretty soon you'll get bored with boredom :)

We all go through it, eh? Not that that makes it any less painful. See this:

dipali: hey...i knew there was a reason. no prob.

sur: i suppose so...

mincat: good point. clearly, nobody has a clue here.

?!: now hemlock is a good idea. will my local homeopath have some, you think?

shweta: no. the other one- habeas corpus. SO bad. and two and a half hours to boot.

hm: horton was okay, but that's because i was viewing it firmly through the anti-McCarthy lens (see, for instance). Also, since it's animated, you can take Carrey's voice and leave out the crap.

lekhni: that is what i'm hoping. (wait! hope? that foul deceitful thing? no!)

equivocal: exactly! and the letter linked just fine. you should hyperlink it. km or ??! will tell you how while i sit around feeling smug.

No, no, it's not hope. You despair that even boredom, unpleasant as it is, even that will leave you ;)

listlessness - in my book - is a very good sign. it means something is brewing inside of you, no?

Space:
Why don't you revamp your blog? Update your links, add widgets, etc. That should get you going somewhat.

Equivocal:
You need to use the html hyperlink tag. See here

lekhini: ah, well!

swar: gawd knows. i shall listen.

??!: like all good ideas, it means something that sounds suspiciously like work. Clean up my side bar?! that would take the better part of a day! i coulda been usefully idle.

listlessness seems to be in the air methinks.

It could be the bloody heat.
