'She's talking to that mirror again, farther?' says Misst Craddock. Father Cradock turns round slowly from the book he is eating and explains that it is just a face she is going through and they're all the same at that age.

He has someone who calls him to bed at night? That lucky dawg!! :P
Hee hee!!
*Cue for Falstaff to write a 700-word comment explaining why that should have been "Heh heh", with one exclamation mark instead of two*
SB: Ya, I saw that yesterday. Of course, you realize the real reason I keep trying to set people right is that I don't have anyone waiting for me in bed.
HAR HAR.
Ludwig: See Falsie's comment below.
Jai: surely you malign him - what's an exclamation mark here or there?
Falstaff: there you go again - generating all these 'aw...' moments in peoples' comment space.
dipali/km: :D
SB: Ya, totally. It's taken me two years, but I've finally realized that the way to win arguments on the blogosphere is to get people to feel sorry for you. It doesn't matter how idiotic what you're saying is, as long as people see you as the victim they'll be on your side. So from now it's all sob-comments for me.
falsie: what fun! please point me to one argument you've won by turning on the tap.
SB: Oh, but everyone always wins arguments on the blogosphere don't they? That's the great thing about blog arguments. Everyone walks away from them convinced that their point of view has been vindicated and that any right-thinking person will see that they're right.
And obviously I haven't really tried this new tactic yet. Perhaps in a couple of months. After I've managed to get my integrity out of the way.
