But all that's for later.
In the meanwhile, here's a bird for you to look at.
'She's talking to that mirror again, farther?' says Misst Craddock. Father Cradock turns round slowly from the book he is eating and explains that it is just a face she is going through and they're all the same at that age.

hey, I saw the same bird in Baroda last week ;-) That one's a jetsetter. Where you off to?
I'm jealous :-( why don't i see such birds - and good enough to take a picture too.
Kingfishers in your back yard? (or front yard?) Wow. And really nice pics too.
//Should have been a blackbird, given the significance of the recent elections and all...(and for those who think "Black = Obama", relax...Paul wrote the song when Dr. King died in '68)
Beautiful picture! I wonder what it's fishing for?
banno: well, it is migration season after all. or something. god! i hope ludwig isn't reading this!
paro: come to hyd, no? we needa few compensations here, ya. you should see the mess the place is. on second thoughts, i will do another good neighbours post.
km: yes! bite your tongue, though. they may not have a habitat left for very long.
lekhni: good question. since there's no water anywhere, probably only for compliments.
Lovely!
Smiley? Anti-hero? Why's that?
dipali: thanks!
feanor: because...come one! you're not seriously asking me to say smiley's the standard hero? he's heroic, but he's short, balding, his specs steam up all the time, he's not very hectic to look at, his wife leaves him and he's a pasty-faced bureaucrat.
I was wondering whether you lived on the shores of the Hussain Sagar(or the Osmansagar) :)
Birdwatching along the banks of the Musi must be limited to vultures ;)
I always thought Alec Guinness played him superbly. An inconspicuous man, frequently underestimated, true, but what a mind. If Bond is an anti-hero, then Smiley's an anti-anti-hero, which is a hero of sorts, no?
feanor: of course, of course. now you'll get me to do my entire post right here. that's the great thing about smiley. he practically typified that idea of the war-time englishman, and dream of bravery and stoicism that the cold war ended rather bitterly.
